Star Power Achieves CHAS Accreditation for the Third Time

Star Power Limited (Star Power), a leading provider of temporary power solutions, is proud to announce that it has successfully achieved the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) accreditation for the third time.

CHAS is the UK’s leading provider of compliance and risk management solutions. As a co-founder and pioneer of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and the Common Assessment Standard, CHAS sets compliance benchmarks that enhance supply chain risk management standards across the UK and is dedicated to simplifying prequalification for contractors across various risk management areas, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of workers with a core mission ‘to help bring workers home’.

Matt Paul, Technical Director, Star Power, said: “This prestigious recognition underscores Star Power’s unwavering commitment to health and safety, mental health and wellbeing, and social value in its operations.”

This year’s CHAS assessments were categorised into three key areas: CHAS Standard – Health and Safety Assessment and Insurance Self-Certify, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Social Value.

To meet the rigorous CHAS and SSIP standards, Star Power provided comprehensive evidence, including detailed policies, procedures, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and worker qualifications. Additionally, the company demonstrated its social value initiatives, client collaboration efforts, and workforce care strategies.

Del Patterson, Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager, Star Power, commented, “We are incredibly proud to have received the CHAS accreditation once again. This accomplishment is a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication to maintaining a safe and supportive work environment.”

Matt Paul, Technical Director at Star Power, concluded: “The CHAS accreditation is widely recognised as a benchmark of quality across many sectors we operate in, including construction, education, facilities management, and housing and development. Obtaining the CHAS accreditation for the third time reaffirms our continued commitment to improve our practices to ensure the wellbeing of our employees and the satisfaction of our customers.”
