Temporary power hire specialists continue to extend its service capability with the purchase of a new delivery truck fitted with a large capacity crane.
Investment in the DAF CF480 High Sleeper, pictured above right, which is fitted with a 65tm articulated truck crane, helps ensure Star Power can meet growing demand for its services.

“Our new delivery truck has a draw bar trailer which means we can transport more generators and battery packs together, serving multiple customers across different locations.
“It also enhances our support for customers that need multiple generators on one site, whether that be large construction projects or outdoor events, such as festivals or major sports.”
Driving investment
The truck’s large capacity crane is a key feature. It allows Star Power to lift heavy equipment while standing further from the lowering point, supporting deliveries in constrained space.
Paul Ridley said: “As the temporary power market develops, demand for larger, more powerful generators is likely to grow, so having the capacity to transport and deliver these units is vital.
“Also, the increasing demand for battery packs, a key component in sustainable temporary power, and other site equipment, will drive our investment in large capacity trucks.”
Adding the DAF CF480 to the transport fleet keeps Star Power’s development plans on track, as it builds its customer portfolio across all sectors, including construction, film and media, data storage, and events.
Stage V generators
The company is a one-stop-shop for temporary power hire and site design and set-up solutions, including cabling, lighting, water bowser, and heater hire. It also offers integrated powered access hire through its sister company, Star Platforms.
Its generator hire fleet has units that range from 10Kva sets to 500kVA silent generators, many of them modern high specification JCB units.
