Developed with the British Standards Institution (BSi) and with input from organisations such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Safehire Private Standard accreditation recognises companies that demonstrate strong, consistent approaches to safety and quality management within the hire industry.
The audit process involved on-site audits at both the Avonmouth and Kent depots, as well as a detailed review of the company’s day to day practices, policies, and management systems. Independent assessors evaluated not only the documentation but also how procedures are applied in practice, observing how teams maintain safety standards throughout the generator-hire process.
Auditors praised Star Power for its quality products, dedicated staff, and the positive environment at its depots. Their feedback recognised the team’s collective effort and ongoing commitment, further strengthening Star Power’s reputation in the generator hire market.
“It’s always rewarding to see the team’s hard work recognised,” said Del Patterson, QHSE Manager at Star Power. “For us, this isn’t just about meeting requirements – it’s about the way we operate every day, from maintaining our equipment to looking out for one another on site.
Patrick Gallagher, Operations Director at Star Power, added: “Delivering safe, dependable generator hire is central to what we do. Achieving this standard again reinforces that our customers can rely on us, whether supporting planned projects or responding to urgent power requirements. It reflects the commitment our team brings to every project.”
