The new location enhances support for customers seeking generator hire in the South West, as well as flexible and resilient temporary power solutions.
The purpose‑built depot brings together operations previously based in Portishead into a single, larger facility. This consolidation improves efficiency, enhances safety standards, and enables faster delivery of industrial generator hire and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for projects across the South West.

Strategically positioned close to the M5 motorway, the new site includes expanded workshop facilities, modern office space, improved welfare areas, and a larger external yard designed to support logistics for generators, fuel management, and BESS for temporary power.
Richard Miller, Group Managing Director, Star Power, said:
“Relocating to Avonmouth is a significant milestone for Star Power. Bringing our operations together in a single location allows us to work more efficiently, improve health and safety standards, and reduce our environmental footprint. It provides our team with an enhanced working environment and puts us in a strong position to support future growth and our customers’ needs.”
Patrick Gallagher, Operations Director, Star Power, added:
“The new depot gives us the space and layout needed to improve day-to-day operations, from engineering through to logistics. It allows us to work more effectively as one team while continuing to deliver a high standard of service to our customers.”
The Avonmouth depot strengthens operational capability across the South West and forms part of Star Power’s continued investment in its national network, including depots in Kent and Warrington.
