Star Power is a leading generator hire and temporary power company based in Bedfordshire.
Due to company growth, we are looking for an Electrical Service Engineer to join our engineering team based in our Kent Depot.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine service, maintenance and repairs as required to a fleet of generators and Bowsers.
- Responsible for maintaining all rental equipment including test and inspection and the preparation of equipment for rental purposes.
- Organising the storage of all fleet and equipment to ensure that the workshop areas are well organised and kept tidy.
- Responsible for loading of equipment/liaising with the team to ensure equipment is dispatched by internal or external transport.
- Comply with the company’s health and safety policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are kept to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Ideally, you will have at least 2 years of experience in Mechanical or electrical engineering.
- A good technical knowledge of Power Generators or Electrical/Mechanical Machinery
- Relevant experience or qualifications within the Power Industry
- Be competent in electrical engineering systems.
- Have experience in fault finding/diagnostics.
- Must be able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure in an ever-changing demanding hire environment.
- Good communication skills and an understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service.
