Power Generator Engineer – Kent Region

Due to continuous growth, we are currently looking to recruit a skilled Power Generator Engineer, based in the Kent region.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine service, maintenance and repairs as required to a fleet of generators and bowsers
  • Fault finding, diagnosis and rectification of machinery and equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining all rental equipment including test and inspection and the preparation of equipment for rental purposes
  • Organising the storage of all fleet and equipment to ensure that the workshop areas are well organised and kept tidy
  • Responsible for loading of equipment/liasing with the team to ensure equipment is dispatched by internal or external transport
  • Comply with the company health and safety policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are kept to a high standard

Requirements for the role:

  • Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience of mechanical or electrical engineering
  • A good technical knowledge of Power Generators or Electrical/Mechanical machinery
  • Experience in automatic synchronisation via Power Management Systems (PMS) or manual synchronisation using synchroscopes
  • Relevant experience or qualifications within the power industry
  • Be competent in electrical engineering systems
  • Have experience in fault finding / diagnostics
  • Must be able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure in an ever-changing demanding hire environment
  • Good communication skills and an understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service
