Star Power gives customers assurance boost with two new accreditations
Star Power has achieved two important accreditations that help assure customers of its commitment to a high quality service.
Following an intensive site audit, the company has been awarded Safehire Certification by the Hire Association of Europe (HAE).
Star Power has also passed its CHAS accreditation, which is widely recognised as a valuable quality standard in many commercial sectors, including the construction industry.
Del Patterson, Quality, Heath, Safety, and Environment Manager for sister company Star Platforms, who managed the audit process, said: “These are important achievements for the business.
“Many potential customers expect suppliers like Star Power to be able to demonstrate they benchmark themselves against these standards.
“Star Power places quality, safety and sustainability at the heart of it service, which is why we are pleased to demonstrate we can achieve these accreditation.”
Star Power is a temporary power solutions specialist with the capability and capacity to provide full service and bespoke power support, on an emergency and planned basis, anywhere in the UK.
Services include generator hire, sales and maintenance, and supply of the company’s containerised powerpod generators.
Achieving the HAE’s Safehire certification demonstrates competence in safety, health, environment and quality.
The certification process also tests a rental company’s customer service processes and seeks to ensure workforce training is a priority.
Colleagues at Star Power’s depot in Portishead, near Bristol, participated in a visit by a Safehire auditor.
All documentation, including policies and procedures, was made available to review. Workshop and office facilities were also inspected to make sure they met the high health and safety standards required by the scheme.
CHAS is a co-founder of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SIPP). It is trusted by the UK’s biggest names across multiple industries, including construction, education, facilities management, and housing and development.
The accreditation audit involved Star Power having to submit a range of detailed documentation and evidence key practices that defined the CHAS standard.
